Just To Be With You (from high school)

 When I first looked in your eyes

 I got a big surprise

 Because looking back at me

 Were the prettiest eyes I had ever seen

 And I wish people weren't so cold hearted

 And I wish they weren't so mean

 Because during this holiday season

 There's a reason for everything

 I do'`t find that charm in anybody else I've met

 And if something happened to you I would be upset

 So I hope you like me just the same as I like you

 Because me and you, we would make a great two

 So every time you think of me and smile

 Just know that I'd walk more than a mile

 Just to be with you

 So when you see me again

 After you've read this little poem

 I hope you still think of me in a good way

 Because things like that

 Matter a lot to me

 So when I look into your eyes

 As our lips touch and we embrace

 I know that the tears running down your face

 Will be tears of joy and tears of grace

 So set the pace, set it just right

 Because when you're with me, it'll be just fine

 I'll take care of you until I go to my grave

 And if I go to heaven I'll look down until you join me
