Credibility

I see the sun reflecting in your eyes

Like a thousand prisms

Throwing light in all different directions

I tell you how I never wanted it to be like this

I wanted to take care of you

And provide some stability

I kiss the salt away in your tears on your cheek

And tell you how I never meant to make you feel unwanted

I never meant to be insensitive

The only thing I can guarantee is change

And if I could hold onto those moments I had with you

And relive them again

I would give up everything to do that

So rather than dwell on what isn’t now

Here I am

About as ambitious as I will get

Because it may seem like I’m not doing much

But I still watch the best of my years go by

And wish I could spend it with you

Maybe never me and you

Will be us

But I know there is someone out there

That I can take care of and click with
