This poem is about one woman, an ex-girlfriend, who was very dear to me but slipped through my fingers and got away because of my drinking and drug use. She will always hold a special place in my heart that can never be filled again. I am happy with the "pitter-patter" part of this poem.

I got this writing prompt from my old Wordpress blog, which is alot more active at this point. I need a break from the monotony of mundane everyday routine. I am also sick of the way this country's politics are headed. We have an egotistical, arrogant, pedophile douche bag for a leader of this great nation. America was already great, it didn't need to be made great again. I can't think of anything to say besides that.
